Silicone Rubber Gaskets
Adpol manufactures silicone rubber gaskets to customers exact specifications in a wide range of profiles, rubber types, colours and hardness’s.
Based upon your drawing, existing sample or by working with you to come up with the most suitable size, shape and material type we will produce exactly the seal that you require. This can be supplied in extruded lengths from 10m upwards, or joined into circular gaskets, or cut and joined into square gaskets. All of these can be supplied adhesive backed if required.
We also manufacture silicone rubber sheet, so if you need flat puched or water jet cut gaskets we can help here too.

Custom Rubber Partition Seals
If you need to fit a soft, strong, flexible and hygienic seal between or around clear perspex or other Partitions custom silicone rubber profiles are likely to be the best solution. Manufactured in the UK they offer quality, economic and fast solutions.
With multiple gap width options a flap or bulb type seal around the edge of your screen will keep fingers, dust, debris and other airborne particles out. In bright colours they can work as a safety or even design feature on clear screens, and we can even join into O Rings or picture frame gaskets if required.
Our Silicone bases are medical, food and drink certified, they do not support mould or other microbiological growth. Further anti bacterial additives with proven resistance to MRSA and E Coli can be added if required.

Silicone Rubber Sheeting & Strip
Adpol is a UK based specialist manufacturer of silicone rubber sheet in a wide range of thicknesses, hardnesses, colours, and material blends to meet individual customer requirements and specialist applications in a wide rage of industries. Cured or uncured, adhesive backed, narrow or wide we can work with you to give you the product you need.
We offer sheet from 0.5mm thick up to 1.5m wide by the roll. Rubber sheets in compounds (such as neoprene, nitrile, or viton) other than silicone are also available, please ask. Silicone Rubber Sheet can be manufactured in a range of specialist grades of material including Fluorosilicone rubber, platinum cured silicone rubber, high and low Temperature, Carbon conductive, metal dectectable, FDA/WRC and USP class VI approved. Silicone Rubber Cord
Silicone Rubber Cord can be supplied in a vast range of colours and many specialist materials including Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber , Fluorosilicone, Neoprene rubber, EPDM, Conductive Silicone Rubber, Metal Detectable and Viton.
Silicone Rubber Cord can be produced from 0.2mm diameter up to 50mm diameter. There are no tooling charges involved in the manufacture of Silicone Cord, and minimum order quantities start from 20m. Silicone rubber cord can be supplied in labeled bags, or on reels, as cut lengths or joined O Rings.

Nitrile Rubber (NBR) Extrusions
Nitrile Rubber, or to give it it’s full name, “Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)” is a type of synthetic rubber that is often used where resistance to fuel, oils and chemicals is required. It is available in different colours with food approvals and can come in the form of extrusions, mouldings or calendared sheet.
Although its temperature range is not quite as wide as Silicone Rubber, it’s fuel resistance and cost per kg makes it a more cost effective alternative to Fluorosilicone or Viton Extrusions.
Adpol can produce Nitrile rubber extrusions in the form of tubing, cord, strip or simple profiles to your specific dimensions up to a maximum 15mm cross section outer diameter, with thin strips up to 75mm wide.
Manufactured in our Worthing plant, our Nitrile rubber extrusions can be produced in a wide range of hardnesses and colours to suit your exact specification.
Adpol can also compression mould in many grades of polymer including Nitrile rubber and provide flat gaskets stamped or water jet cut from sheet with adhesive backing where required.
There are very few UK based manufacturers producing Nitrile rubber extrusions and we have an bespoke production line set up to turn around short runs (from 20 metres) quickly and efficiently

Silicone Rubber Tubing
Adpol has many years experience of manufacturing Silicone Rubber Tubing on site in our Worthing plant . This can be supplied in a vast range of colours and many specialist grades including Metal Detectable, Steam Resistant, Carbon Conductive, Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber and Fluorosilicone .
There are no tooling charges for Silicone Rubber Tubing, and we aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hrs.
Aerospace Seals and Gaskets
Adpol have been manufacturing and supplying seals, gaskets, sheet, tubing and extruded profiles to the Aerospace and Aircraft Interior sector (civil and military) since 1974.
We are one of the few AS9100 accredited rubber manufacturers operating in the UK and work with compounds that meet flammability, smoke and toxicity standards ADB 0031, FAR – JAR 25.83, UL94 V0 and a range of DTD grade standards. We are able to offer different hardness’s and colours, with exact colour matching available on request.
We work closely with seal designers to help develop the perfect aerospace seals and gaskets for your application, often working with the components the seal needs to fit onto, and making visits to customers site and supplying free samples of different seal types to help decide a design route. Typically a new die and sample takes 2 – 3 weeks and costs IRO £250.
Aerospace seals and gaskets can be supplied as extruded lengths, and cut and joined into O Ring or picture frame gaskets on presses with colour matched adhesives.
Adpol can mould products in house in these material grades including rubber to metal composite parts. We can also assist with supply of sponge or reinforced rubber materials and adhesives to meet required standards in this sector.

Flame Retardant Rubber Products
Adpol extrude and mould seals, tube, strip and custom parts if flame retardant grades of Silicone Rubber from 50 to 70 shore hardness colour matched to your requirements.
These products meet stringent standards in aerospace, rail and public transport sectors and require the use of specially developed and certified compounds that self extinguish and emit very little smoke or fumes should any forced combustion take place.

Adpol supplies a wide range of UK manufactured Silicone Sponge Extrusions to meet numerous applications and specific customer requirements. Our Silicone Sponge Extrusions are available in a range of colours and densities from very soft (10lb/ft) to very dense (33lb/ft) and can even be custom blended to meet a specific requirement.

Silicone Sponge Sheet & Gaskets

Rubber Coated Sponge Extrusions
Adpol has developed a new manufacturing technique which allows us to extrude a thin skin of Silicone Rubber over sponge.
This allows many of the specialist performances properties of Silicone to be combined with the soft compressible nature of Sponge which can be hugely beneficial when you need the compressibility of sponge and the resistance of specialist Silicone grades for certain applications.
For example, Chemically Resistant Fluorosilicone, Conductive Carbon loaded Silicone, Steam resistant Silicone, Metal Detectable Food Grade Silicone, Extreme high or low temperature Silicone and anti bacterial Silicone.

Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber Tubing
Adpol extrudes and moulds a wide range of custom Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber in the UK under tight quality conditions.
Unlike the traditional Peroxide cured materials Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber does not use peroxides or ketones as part of the catalysing process which can sometimes leave trace elements after post cure causing contamination or effecting taste. As a result Platinum Curing is becoming a more popular choice in medical, food, drink or dairy applications.
Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber also offers improved clarity, particularly important in translucent products which can yellow over time with a peroxide catalyst. It is also possible to tint with a specified colour to achieve a unique look.
Neoprene Rubber Tubing and Cord
Adpol has over 40 years experience in manufacturing Neoprene Rubber Tubing to customer specifications, dimensions, hardnesses and requested colours at no extra cost. Neoprene Rubber Tubing can range from 0.5mm ID with a 0.5mm wall up to 25mm ID and 2mm wall. This can be cut to short lengths if required. We can also obtain specialist compounds to meet BS & DTD specifications.
Also known as chloroprene, typical applications for Neoprene Rubber Tubing include cable sleeving and electrical insulation because of its tough nature and resistance to some oils. Not many people in the UK still produce Neoprene Rubber Tubing.
EPDM Rubber Tubing
EPDM, or to give it it’s full name, “ethylene propylene diene monomer” is a type of synthetic rubber that is often used as a tough and durable weather seal.
Adpol can produce EPDM rubber extrusions in the form of tubing, cord and square or rectangular profiles to your specific dimensions up to a maximum 15mm cross section outer diameter, with thin strips up to 75mm wide.

Rubber Dairy Tubing
Adpol manufacures a wide range of rubber dairy tubing in different grades, sizes and colours to suit your specific requirements from our extensive range of existing tooling.
Compound grades include our standard general purpose silicone rubber, high tear strength silicone rubber which offers improved tear and abraison resistance, and Platinun cured silicone rubber which offers the cleanest cure, best clarity and overall finish and is fast becomming one of the most popular grades for rubber dairy tubing.
All tubeing is available in a range of colours from solids, to transparent and even light colour tints. The base polymers we use are FDA, WRAS and USP Class VI certified and we can supply certification with each order to confirm this.

Our general purpose grades of Silicone Rubber are available in shore hardnesses ranging from 30 to 90 shore A, with a standard temperature range of -60 to +200°C. Specialist grades are available that provide higher tear strength, higher or lower temperature limits and improved compression set characteristics. Flame Retardant Silicone Sponge
Adpol can offer low smoke and toxicity flame retardant Silicone Sponge extrusions in a range of colours to custom designs
This material range has been independently tested and approved to Aereospace flamability, smoke and toxicity standards meeting UL94V0
Extruded sponge offers many advantages over cut strips of sponge sheet and extruded rubber profiles. It is lighter, more economical, has no open cell structure to act as a bug trap, will cope with a much larger gap variation and will bend round tighter radiuses without creasing.
Adpol has been developing this with leading Aerospace interior companies over the last 12 months, it serves as an excellent gap filler, but has so many other potential applications. It can be provided adhesive backed with flame retardant tape, or velcro backed for easy replacement.

IP Rated Rubber Seals
Adpol works with designers and engineers to develop and manufacture IP Rated seals as unique each application we come across even for the harshest of environments.
Often working with the unit that needs a seal from past experience and many samples we can quickly establish the best profile to use, and then with some subtle tweaks to size and rubber hardness (and indeed other properties) the desired result can be achieved.
Seals produced by Adpol have helped many leading manufacturers achieve the IP rating they require. With custom blends these seals can also be food and medical grade, anti static, chemical, fuel and steam resistant, able to withstand -100 to + 300 degrees C, flame retardant, and extremely high tear strength.
